Certified leadership and strategy coach, Patrick Jinks joins Together SC for a provocative look at governance through the lens of leadership. Using a framework of leadership centered on vision, inspiration, and empowerment, board leaders will be inspired and challenged to see their governance role from a new perspective.

We are hosting a special Sea Islands Board Leadership Summit in conjunction with our 2018 SC Nonprofit Summit for board leaders and executive directors. Not only will you have an opportunity to get hyper-focused about board leadership and governance but you can stay at the beautiful Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa for the Nonprofit Summit as well and join the bigger picture conversation about the importance of unity in our communities.

Please note that if you register for a 1-day, 2-day or 3-day pass to the Summit, the Board Leadership Summit is included in your registration. If you elect to just join us for the Board Leadership Summit only, you will register at the following rates:

  • Early-bird rate: $40 per attendee (ends Feb. 12)
  • $75 per attendee (after Feb. 12)



As an award-winning professional photographer, Patrick Jinks knows the value of viewing leadership through the right “lens.” After 21 years of nonprofit executive leadership, Patrick changed his lens and now helps organizations achieve clarity, simplicity, and alignment in their work through his business, The Jinks Perspective headquartered in Columbia.

Patrick is a dynamic speaker, trainer, author, and most of all … coach. He applies coaching techniques to all of his work, which makes his approach to strategic planning particularly unique. His passion is coaching nonprofit executives on leadership and their boards on governance, engagement, and strategy.

Patrick is an adjunct executive coach with Leadership Systems Inc., and a certified Influencer™ trainer with VitalSmarts®, the group that brought us Crucial Conversations. In addition, he has served as adjunct faculty member at the Nonprofit Resource Center at Millersville University.

Patrick is a member of The Forbes Coaches Council and a regular contributor to He is a member of the National Association of Experts, Writers, and Speakers. In addition, he is the co-author (with Jack Canfield author of Chicken Soup for the Soul) of two soon-to-be-released books, Taking the Leap, and Success Starts Today. His solo book project, Strategic Fail, set for a 2018 release, uncovers the major failures of strategic planning and how to fix them.
