In January 2012, Pat Walker was named President and CEO of the Lowcountry Food Bank. She previously worked for Lowcountry Food Bank feeding partner East Cooper Meals on Wheels for 10 years, serving as its President and CEO after completing a career in education as both a high school teacher and counselor.
Under her leadership, the Lowcountry Food Bank has increased the number of meals distributed by over 49%, providing 22.3 million meals to over 200,000 people last year. At the LCFB, Pat oversees an annual distribution of over 26.2 million pounds of food and a staff of 75 based at three regional food centers in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Yemassee.
She serves as Treasurer of Feeding the Carolinas, the newly formed association of food banks in both North and South Carolina, and is an active member of Feeding America and TogetherSC. Pat also serves on the Governing Board of East Cooper Medical Center.
