Disparities, Gaps, & Inequities: The Role of Race in Shaping Rural Communities
Education, healthcare, housing, and employment are critical components in all communities. If it’s a rural community, the challenges and concerns surrounding these areas are magnified. There are longstanding misconceptions about rural communities – some of the most common misconceptions are regarding race, and other demographic factors. During this conversation, we will explore the historic role that race has played in shaping policies, perceptions, and practices in rural America.
