Who should attend the 2023 Summit?

The 2023 Summit has a different objective and audience for each of three days.
Tuesday, March 7 – Day 1: CEOs + Teams = Greater Skills to Serve
Program Offerings: An action-packed day for the busy nonprofit professional
24+ skills-based concurrent sessions to choose from – Team Members
Customized track for Founders, Start Ups, Community-Based Organizations
Peer Network Gatherings – CEOs + Teams

Wednesday, March 8 – Day 2: CEOs + Partners = Effective Public, Private & Social Collaborations

Program Offerings: The chance for community leaders to visit elected officials together
Special Keynote Speaker addressing the intersections of our economy and nonprofits
Sessions highlighting policy work being championed by partnerships between nonprofits and public agencies
Visiting with Legislators at the State House
Legislative Reception

Thursday, March 9 – Day 2: CEOs + Boards = Genuine Partnerships

Program Offerings: Sessions specifically for board chairs and other board leaders

Do you provide accommodations for attendees with special needs or requests?

Do I need to sign up for receptions?

The Legislative Reception is included with tickets for Wednesday, March 8, otherwise, the $25 ticket option to add the Legislative Reception is available.

Will I have time for networking during the Summit?

YES – The entire Summit is designed around peer learning, engagement and networking.

We have limited the capacity of the 2022 Summit which will enable a more intimate and engaging environment for all participants.

If you are a CEO touring Spartanburg or participating in a small group breakout during the CEO/Board Leadership Forum on March 9, you will have the opportunity to share ideas and have impactful conversations with leaders from across SC. Also, the day will culminate that evening at the Sponsor Reception for additional networking time.

If you are attending one of he Peer Network Tracks on March 10 & 11, the entire program is designed around engaging with your peers in workshops and gatherings.

In addition, all attendees will have the opportunity to spend time with others during meals onsite or when they leave the Marriott for meals on their own.

And of course there is an opportunity to mix and mingle during the Celebrate 25 Years Reception on Thursday, March 10 at the Chapman Cultural Center.

Are meals included with the 2023 Summit registration?

Coffee, Drinks, and Snacks will be available throughout.

Will the 2023 Summit offer tours?

There will not be tours and site visits like we’ve had at past Nonprofit Summits. Instead, there will be time on Wednesday, March 8 for attendees to visit the SC State House and meet with their legislators.

Will I leave the Summit with strategies to implement?

Yes – In planning the 2022 Summit, our Program Committee and Peer Network Facilitators were very intentional in developing implementable, action-oriented sessions for our attendees. Resources and takeaway tools will be provided whenever possible.

Will I have the opportunity to evaluate the Summit?

YES – We want your feedback! Your comments will greatly influence next year’s Summit design and content. Information regarding the evaluations will be posted at the beginning of the Summit.

Will the 2022 Summit offer any fitness opportunities?

YES – We want you to stay fit while attending the 202 Summit. In addition to the fitness facility at the hotel, we will offer Rise and Shine activities on March 10 & 11. More Information coming soon.

When will I be able to reserve my hotel room at the Columbia Marriott?

Are there additional hotel accommodations available if the host hotel is sold out?

YES – Columbia is poised and ready for Summit. Everyone will most certainly have a comfortable place to rest their head after a busy day of learning, networking and having fun. We will provide more hotel options when Marriott Columbia is at maximum capacity.

Will I have to pay for parking at the Summit?

YES – Day ($10) and Overnight Parking is available in the Sumter Street Garage and P.J. Cannon Garage.

Is Wi-Fi available during the conference?

YES – Summit attendees will have access to complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel’s meeting facilities. There will also be complimentary Wi-Fi in guest rooms. Please keep in mind that when hundreds of people are using Wi-Fi at the same time, connection speeds can be hindered.

What is your cancellation policy?

Requests for refunds must be made via e-mail and must be received at least 30 days prior to the Summit. The refund will be credited back to the credit or debit card that was used in the original purchase, minus a $25 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellation after 30 days or for “No Shows.” Substitutions may be made by email stating the name of the person and the reason for the substitution.

Is there a business center at the hotel?

YES – There is a business center that will be available for Summit attendees.

What if I need to ship something to the hotel?

You can ship boxes to the hotel with an arrival of no more than three days prior to the event. When you arrive to the hotel, you can ask the front desk to assist you in getting your boxes. The Summit staff will also be available to assist in locating any shipments. All shipments must include “Together SC / 2021 SC Nonprofit Summit” if you are shipping conference-related material.
