Building Genuine Partnerships, Facilitator: Charles Weathers, CEO, The Weathers Group
The partnership between the board and its CEO sets the tone for all relationships within a nonprofit, internal and external. Charles will get us started by sharing his thoughts on evolving Board CEO relationships and the importance of the board chairs and CEOs working as a team.
Board leaders and execs/CEOs will then spend the morning together talking through issues we must to tackle and opportunities we can leverage to build effective partnerships to guide our organizations.
We’ll also hear from the board and executive leaders themselves and spend lots of time working in small groups and with our colleagues.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS: All are welcome to attend, but please note this day is designed for CEOs and board members of established nonprofits with boards and staff already in place and working together. If your organization doesn’t fit this profile but you are interested in board-staff work, please let Together SC staff know. If there is sufficient interest, we will consider offering another option that day, or at another time.

As founder of The Weathers Group, a management consulting firm based in Columbia, South Carolina, he strives to develop leaders and strategies that improve an organization’s performance. A Forbes Coaches Council member, and American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow, his background includes two decades of board leadership and service, 15 years as a fundraising professional, and 6 years in the private sector.
