Reporters receive hundreds of press releases each day and you do not want to get caught up with the masses. Just because you send a media advisory or release doesn’t mean a reporter will cover it. Developing relationships with the media can seem intimidating but they provide great value to you, your organization and the reporter. It is important to spend time working with your local media markets and national industry reporters to make sure they understand your organization and the expertise you bring to whatever topic you’re hoping to discuss.
