For more than a decade, Amanda has spent her career motivating people to action through volunteerism in the communities where they live, work and play – a career she admits to having fallen into after setting her sights on becoming a corporate event planner. Amanda quickly found she was able to apply her project and event management experience to volunteerism for a more fulfilling career. A few of her greatest accomplishments have been coordinating Trident United Way’s annual Days of Caring for more than 5,000 people, designing and launching a board member development program and leading a rebrand for a small organization.
Amanda holds a Bachelor’s in Event Management from Johnson & Wales University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Penn State University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking the beach and spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
