Carmen L. Landy is an advisor, consultant, coach, and proven nonprofit leader with 28 years of experience in victim services, grant writing, capacity building, and innovation. As the owner and CEO of Landy Dynamic Solutions, LLC, Landy provides professional and executive coaching as well as consults and advises nonprofit agencies on capacity-building and training by using practical approaches to leadership which encourages gains in mission-driven effectiveness and financial sustainability.
Landy has served as the CEO of Helping Hands, Inc. – a nonprofit agency committed to enriching the quality of life of children and families by providing essential services from shelter for abused children to community-based assistance. Under her leadership, the agency successfully achieved national accreditation as well as secured over $3.6 million in new grants while managing the day-to-day operations of their counseling services, 58-bed childcaring facility and the strategic direction of the multi-dimensional agency whose $800,000 budget grew over 200% under her tenure.
The Aiken, South Carolina native is a proud graduate of Howard University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Communications Studies/Legal Communications with a minor in Business. She continued her academic pursuits at Augusta State University where she earned a Master’s in Public Administration and is currently a Candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of South Carolina.
Landy’s professional affiliations have included board membership for the Palmetto Association for Children and Families, Together SC, the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce, Aiken Downtown Development Association as well as a founding board member for the Child Advocacy Center of Aiken County.
