Biography
Jamie Cooper serves as the President & CEO of Communities In Schools of South Carolina (CISSC). First joining the CIS team in 2017, Jamie has been working with students since 2005. Prior to joining CIS, Jamie led Boys & Girls Club organizations in North Carolina, serving as the Executive Director of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Greensboro and then President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain in Winterville, NC.
Jamie served one tour in the U.S. Army, received his B.A. from John Wesley University in High Point, NC, his M.A. from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University, and completed the Leadership Summit at Harvard Business School. A resident of Charleston, SC, Jamie enjoys spending time at the beach and on the water with his wife Kristie, their children Lincoln, Archer, and Aaris, as well as their yellow lab, River. “The power of CIS is that we are able to amplify the individual potential of each student.
