Biography

Since 2005, Kristin has been serving in the non-profit world by supporting organizations with their communications and fundraising needs.  A graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Communications and Public Relations, Kristin started her career in Atlanta serving the Georgia Transplant Foundation.  There, Kristin served initially in the marketing and comms role,  but soon found a passion for leveraging resources to support those that needed it the most.  She quickly transitioned to a fundraising role and has since been an integral part of raising more than $70 million for causes ranging from child abuse prevention and treatment, educational support programs, and community youth focused organizations.  An advocate for relational fundraising, collaboration, and strategic direction, Kristin specializes in revenue diversification for both private and public revenue streams.  In 2010, Kristin relocated to South Carolina and has since proudly served Windwood Farms Home for Children, Communities In Schools of Charleston, Teach For America South Carolina, and Public Education Partners.  She now serves as the statewide Vice President of External Affairs for the newly merged Communities In Schools of South Carolina and when she is not advocating for the organization she spending time at her home in Greenville with her husband Roger and their pups Tucker and Ruthie.
