Biography
As President/CEO of United Way of the Piedmont, Paige Stephenson leads a team committed to making sure everyone in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties has the opportunity to thrive. This is accomplished by focusing on Economic Mobility, Education, and Health. Over her 20 years with United Way, she has developed extensive experience in community building, program development and management, fundraising, and leadership.
Paige and her husband moved to Spartanburg in 1993, when she began working at Young Office as director of quality and marketing. She joined the United Way of the Piedmont in 2001.
Currently, Paige serves as a board member for Together SC, United Way Association of SC, Spartanburg Academic Movement, Live Healthy Spartanburg, Spartanburg Community Indicators Project, and Spartanburg Racial Equity Collaborative. She is a Rotarian, Riley Fellow, Leadership Spartanburg graduate, Spartanburg Regional Fellows graduate, and current participant in Leadership South Carolina. She has been recognized for her service with the Order of the Palmetto, the Woman of Accomplishment Award from SC Business and Professional Women, and Pioneering Woman in Philanthropy Award by Spartanburg Methodist College.
Paige holds her Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Consumer Economics from the University of Alabama and a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from Duke University
